Sustainability at LISTEC GmbH

An integral part of our corporate policy

Responsibility towards the environment and future generations is a top priority for us.

As early as the planning stage of new products, we ensure that material specifications and efficiency in terms of environmental behaviour are taken into account - in doing so, we comply with the RoHS Directive as well as the REACH Regulation. In addition, our sales packaging is recycled through our participation in the dual system "DerGrünePunkt", so that we were able to save 105 kg of CO2 in 2022, among other things.

We also enable our customers to make a valuable contribution to the environment: with our take-back concept for old appliances, we guarantee an environmentally friendly return of the components into the recycling cycle.

All this is a fixed part of our corporate policy and we are proud that our employees and partner companies support this mission every day.

Take-back concept for old appliances

All customers of LISTEC GmbH can contact us at any time to return old appliances if required. We dismantle the old devices responsibly and ensure that the separated raw materials are returned to the environmental cycle. All electronic components are handed over via our disposal points listed with the era foundation (elektro-altgeräte register®) and are documented in the annual notification.

DerGrünePunkt

We are constantly working on optimising our packaging and returning it to the cycle. Through our participation in the dual system "DerGrünePunkt", we work together for an optimal recycling process. In 2022, the amount of CO2 avoided through our contribution was equivalent to the amount that 105 m² of forest filter out of the air in one year.

RoHS

The RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU (Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances) serves and regulates the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. This ensures that electrical and electronic equipment is designed to be less harmful to the environment. In Germany, these directives are implemented by the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) and the Electrical Substances Ordinance (ElektroStoffV). Our LIST and d-LIST sensor cable systems meet these requirements. The permissible limit values of the following substances are not exceeded:

  • Lead (Pb)
  • Mercury (Hg)
  • Cadmium (Cd)
  • Hexavalent chromium (Cr VI)
  • Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
  • Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)

REACH

The REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 aims to register, evaluate, authorise and restrict chemical substances in order to protect human health and the environment. It requires manufacturers and importers to declare articles containing substances of very high concern (SVHC). This designation applies within the supply chain. The SVHC are officially confirmed on the so-called candidate list of the ECHA.
